Autobiography

Professor Zhakypbek Altayevich Altayev is a graduate of Tashkent State University. In 1972, he graduated the Philosophy Department of Tashkent State University. In 1982, he defended his candidate dissertation "Dialectical ideas in Philosophical works", and in 1997-his doctoral dissertation "The history of the formation of Kazakh philosophy". Professor Zhakypbek Altayevich devoted about 50 years of his life to scientific and pedagogical activities, most of which are connected with al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Since 1985, he has held the position of Associate Professor, and from 1998 to the present, he is a professor of the Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science and a scientific consultant of the Al-Farabi Center of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. From 2003 to 2013 Zhakypbek Altayevich worked as the head of the Department of Philosophy of KazNU. Under the leadership of Professor Zhakypbek Altayevich, the Department of Philosophy has become a fundamental scientific and methodological center in the country for the creation of state standard and standard programs in philosophical subjects, as well as philosophical education; cooperation in the field of scientific research has been established with research centers and universities in the CIS and far abroad countries. In 2008, Zhakypbek Altayev was awarded the medal of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan "For contribution to the development of science", in 2018 he was awarded the "Al-Farabi Big Gold Medal" of Kazakh National University, in 2011 he won the grant "Best University Teacher of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan". In the period from 2008 to 2020, Professor Zh. A. Altaev headed the Al-Farabi Center Research Center of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Under the leadership of Zh. A. Altayev, a group of scientists successfully implemented the projects "Al-Farabi and the spiritual culture of the Kazakh people" (2009-2011), "The contribution of the Turks to world civilization: socio-philosophical aspects" (2012-2014), "The heritage of al-Farabi in modern world and Kazakh culture"within the framework of funding fundamental scientific research of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2015-2017). Zh.A. Altaev was one of the main organizers and main speakers of the international Round Table held in 2010 at UNESCO headquarters.
